Carrot

My parents are currently at a Christmas party, which would be fine, except that I'm stuck baby-sitting my sick 10 year old sister Sidney.
About a half hour ago, soon after my parents left, I was sitting at the computer writing my last blog and talking on the phone to my friend Mandy. Sidney walks into the den with a blanket wrapped around her and greasy hair.
"Hey, Sid," I said.
"Carrot...," she mumbled.
"Huh?" I put the phone on my shoulder.
"I wanna carrot!" she whined.
I patiently put the phone by my ear again. "Mandy, one sec." I put it back down and addressed my sister. "Then go get a carrot."
"NO, I want a BIG carrot. Not a baby carrot."
At this point, I was trying to keep my cool, as I irritate easy. "What if I shaved a baby carrot to LOOK like a big one?"
"No, it would still be small!!! And big carrots are softer!"
I took a deep breath. "Fine Sid. I'll call Mom and Dad." I picked up my phone and told Mandy I'd call her back. Then I immediatly called her back and told Sidney to call my parents on my cell, which she did. They didn't pick up, so I texted my mom. She replied soon after telling me to "just glue two together." I kind of ignored that and went to go get some. However, they all spilled out of the bag, so I just grabbed a handfull of baby carrots and my sister dealed with it while I cleaned up the mess. Now I'm blogging about it while Sidney talks to my mom on my cell phone.

And that's the story of my encounter with my delusional sister.
